FAQ

  1. What is the "Apply VAT on Fees" feature?
The "Apply VAT on Fees" feature is designed to help non-VAT registered sellers in the EU and UK comply with Amazon’s changes to FBA and referral fees that took effect on August 1st. It automatically adds the relevant VAT percentage to these fees to support more accurate pricing and profit calculations.

  2. Who should enable the "Apply VAT on Fees" feature?
This feature is intended for non-VAT registered sellers operating in the EU and UK. Sellers who are charged VAT on Amazon fees, and do not claim the VAT back, should enable this feature to ensure VAT is applied correctly in their profit calculations and Min /Max strategy.

  3. Do I need to enable this for each marketplace?
Yes, as VAT obligations may differ by marketplace, you must enable the "Apply VAT on Fees" setting individually for each marketplace.

  4. What happens when I enable "Apply VAT on Fees"?
Once enabled, Seller Snap will automatically calculate and apply the relevant VAT percentage to your FBA and Amazon referral fees. This will ensure that mins and maxs, as well as profit calculations, accurately reflect VAT considerations.

  5. What VAT percentage will Seller Snap apply?
The VAT percentage applied will be based on the VAT rate specified for that marketplace.

  6. What if I am unsure about my VAT obligations?
If you are unsure about your VAT obligations, we recommend consulting with a tax professional to ensure compliance with local laws. Seller Snap provides tools to assist, but sellers are responsible for understanding their own tax requirements.

  7. What if I don’t enable this feature?
If you don’t enable this feature and you’re a non-VAT registered seller, your pricing and profit calculations may not reflect the VAT charges on your FBA and Amazon fees, potentially leading to inaccurate financial reporting.

  8. How do I contact support if I need further assistance?
If you have any questions or need assistance with the "Apply VAT on Fees" feature, please contact our support team by navigating to the Help section in Seller Snap or emailing [email protected].
