Suppressed Buybox

How does Seller Snap's Repricer Deal With A Suppressed Buybox?

A Suppressed Buybox occurs when Amazon deems the best offer on an ASIN to not be competitive enough compared to other offers online.
This measure was put in place to help Amazon ensure that the customer is getting a better deal on Amazon than on any other marketplace or online store.
If a listing's Buybox is suppressed, the offer is not competing for the Buybox.

Automatic Un-Suppression Behavior

When the Buybox is suppressed, the AI will look historically in order to identify the last time the Buybox was unsuppressed

If this information exists - the system will revert to this price in an attempt to un-suppress the Buybox.

Store Level Settings

If there is no historical un-suppressed Buybox price, the system will move to the default store level suppressed Buybox settings

Seller Snap has pre-set best practices for the store level suppressed Buybox settings, however, users may want to adjust the settings for specific use-cases.

How to Adjust Store Level Settings

Users have the option to set differentiating behavior for both FBA and FBM listings.

Sellers can then set four different rule-based behaviors that the system will attempt to implement in a specific order when the situations pass.

For example, in the below set-up for an FBA Listing, the system will attempt to Follow The Lowest FBA offer in the event of a suppressed Buybox, if there is no FBA competitor, the system will default to pre-set Two, and so on until it reaches four.

Apply Lowest of 1-3

Users may also select the checkbox marked, Apply Lowest of 1-3, if users desire to apply the lowest price out of the sections one, two, or three.

This is extremely useful in avoiding anomalies where the only FBA or FBM on that listing are priced unrealistically high.

Additionally, users can add conditions should they feel necessary. If you have set a suppressed Buybox condition for a particular listing, then the repricer will follow those conditions over the default store level conditions.

System Behaviour When Using Win Buybox

If the user is utilizing the Win Buybox method and the repricer cannot find a previous winning price from history, then the system will automatically drop the price incrementally every fifteen minutes until the Buybox is Un-Suppressed.

Once restored, the Buybox is restored, then it will revert back to its original default repricing settings.
