Min & Max Calculation Method


Overview

The Min & Max Calculation Method tool in Seller Snap allows users to choose how they calculate their minimum and maximum prices.

This tool provides flexibility by enabling you to switch between different pricing calculation methods—Profit Margin, Markup on Total Costs, and Markup (ROI) —to best align with your business strategy.

Once a method is selected, it will apply consistently across all marketplaces and tools, including the API, CSV imports/exports, the user interface (UI), and the pop-out calculator.

What Does the Min & Max Calculation Method Tool Do?

The Min & Max Calculation Method tool lets you control how minimum and maximum prices are calculated for your listings. You can choose from three different calculation methods:


How to Enable the Min & Max Calculation Method Tool

Important Note: Only account admins can adjust this setting as it affects all stores within the account.

  1. Navigate to Account Settings by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner.

  1. Click on the General tab to locate the Min & Max Calculation Method Setting.

  1. Choose Your Preferred Calculation Method:
    1. Profit Margin
    2. Markup on total Cost
    3. Markup (ROI) - This is the default for most customers.
  2. After selecting your preferred calculation method, follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your choice.

  1. Once you have confirmed your selection, click the Apply Changes button to save and implement the new settings.

CSV and API Imports and the Min & Max Calculation Method Tool

The Min & Max Calculation Method tool also works with CSV imports and API. To set Min & Max Markup or Profit Margin, users will need to use the below input values.


  • Profit Margin:
    • Set Minimum Margin: set_min_margin
    • Set Maximum Margin: set_max_margin

  • Markup:
    • Set Minimum Margin: set_min_markup
    • Set Maximum Margin: set_max_markup

Important Note: Ensure that your CSV files are updated to the correct format according to the chosen calculation method to avoid discrepancies in price calculations.
